Tank is a tank – is it? –story
When Finnish St1 Biofuels –company was starting to produce the bio ethanol factories they contacted U-Cont for normal vertical process tanks. In that point U-Cont asked them about the modularity and the whole process thinking of these factories. After discussion U-Cont was involved in the whole field of producing these factories starting from concept development and ending to the after sale services – all the services that are described in our service line. The results of this project can be seen in the pictures: bio ethanol factories are built by us to Lappeenranta, Hamina, Närpiö, Lahti and Vantaa.

WinWinD, water and glycol system
U-Cont delivered the whole water and glycol system to factory of WinWinD in year 2009. The delivery included the connections to ibc-container, pumps, piping, valves, mix tank and the logic controller as assembled and introduced. The system can mix 30 – 60 % water-glycol mixture and pump the mixture as portions to cooling system. The logic for this project was made by Siemens.

Orion, isopropanol system
U-Cont delivered isopropanol system to Orion in year 2010. The system included storage tank made of acid proof steel with weighing, ATEX-classified service cabin equipped with heating, lighting, pumps, valves and piping, including the filters, made with SMS 3008 –standard requirements. The control for the system is linked to the Orions own factory control. In year 2011 the system was upgraded with the system that transfers the isopropanol from ibc-container to storage tank.

Junttan, Kuopio, Finland
Junttan-project in Kuopio, Finland is a good example how we have been able to serve our customer with our knowhow and spare the customer’s resources to better use. We delivered for Junttan many sort oil delivery system with the suction and filling piping. In the target there were four tanks, which are able to storage and different oil sorts when needed. U-Cont executed the whole project from design to installations.
